Sweet Summertime

Since summer is nearing an end I figured I would post some of the

summer pictures I never put on the blog.

We got together with friends at Dan and Jessie's for dinner.  Jessie made a birthday cake for all of us with July birthdays.  She even wrote our names in frosting on the top...isn't she amazing!

Girl Time!

A couple weeks ago Bryce, my mom, and Tara went to Colorado for Rocky Mountain High.  Lahna and I stayed at my mom's house with Katie and we threw some crazy parties (not really though).  While Dad was away Lahna and I had lots of fun playing...not that we don't have fun playing when Dad is around but we had lots of girl time!

I went next door to my mom's neighbors house to borrow a broom and low and behold she had two extra chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter cookie dough filling...and they did not disappoint!  I would have eaten both of them but out of love I gave one to Katie.  I'll just have to borrow things from Kay more often!  She also made my beautiful wedding cake (see picture below)...you can check her out at http://kays-cakes.com/

As you can see from the following pictures Lahna was a big help in the kitchen...

So all in all we had a good week while Dad was gone, but boy were we happy to see him again.  I needed a break from her and I'm pretty sure she needed a break from me!

Target ( :

Lahna loves shopping at Target there are so many things to look at, she stays entertained for hours!

The dollar bins are always our first stop...we find the most random things in the dollar bin.  Evidence below includes Lahna dressed as an alien and Lahna playing with a giant foam hammer (really?)

She loves to touch the clothes when we go by which drives me crazy because she stands on the seat and tries propelling herself at them...not the safest thing in the world.



"I'll take this one."

  Lahna was so intent on finding good prices she climbed from the seat to the top of the cart and then attempted to shop on one foot...she can be quite ridiculous sometimes.

 And if you couldn't tell how happy she was to be shopping at Target from the pictures above here is video evidence.  We need to find Lahna a commercial deal with Target...see how happy Target can make you?!

Oh and just FYI....after the first time she squats down listen for the toot...yes it's funny stuff hence why I start cracking up in the video.
