Girls' Night Out & Superbowl

On February 5th we went to Girls' Night Out.  It's a night hosted by Pulse 99.5 where there's food, prizes, vendors and lots of fun.

For the superbowl we took a road trip to Omaha.  It was Lahna's first road trip and she was super excited and so good.  She slept the whole way there and the whole way home.  It was so fun to spend time with everyone!  We spent Sunday night there...Lahna was already alseep in the bed and when we went in for bedtime Grandpa was cuddling with her so we let them sleep for a couple of hours ( :

This week was cold and windy (pretty sure the papers deemed it a blizzard) so we stayed inside and cuddled up together.  We watched lots of movies including:
Easy A
The Other Guys
Despicable Me
Dinner for Schmucks

I have to say my favorite out of the four was Despicable Me...adorable and funny ( :

Time flies when your having fun

On Saturday Lahna turned two months old.  Time has always gone by fast, but the days fly now that I have a daughter.  The doctor said she was a healthy happy baby!

Weight - 11 lbs. 8 oz. 75 percentile
Height - 24 inches 50 percentile

Why she's 75 percentile in weight = even when she's not eating she still dreams of eating...

After screaming and crying during her shots she was so tired she fell fast asleep on the way home.  She spent the remainder of the day sleeping and only woke up to eat.

Nine Weeks Old

She has learned so many new things in the last two months, here are some of them...

Okay so obviously she can't really do these things but she is growing so fast that she will be able to read, walk, and swim before I know it!

Cousins!

This weekend was a busy one.  On Saturday Lahna and I went to see Uncle Hank (Henry) swim in the conference swim meet, she loved the noise and all the commotion.  From there I dropped Lahna off with Bryce and spent the day coaching the Waukee Rays swim team.  Bryce took Lahna to the Grand View wrestling meet to see Matt and the UNO wrestlers. Later that day when I checked my phone I was told Jamie had gone into labor and the twins were born!!!  Exactly 2 months after Lahna!!! As soon as the meet was over we ran to the hospital to meet the boys.  The boys are both healthy and Jamie and Marcus are too!  I was told Jamie did such an awesome job...proud of you ( :

Ryan Roger Iwig and Jackson Mark Iwig born January 29, 2011 at 3:16 pm and

Sunday I left for a coaching clinic in Davenport and was gone the entire day.  Lahna spent another day with her daddy.  After church they spent the whole day with Grandma Kim!

 Even though she had a busy weekend Lahna still found time to chill in the sink...

Nothing crazy or too exciting happened last week, we just spent time loving our little girl.

On Wednesday before church Lahna was in quite the mood...heres what happened.

She was chillin' like a villan

She took her first piggyback ride

and then she crashed

While taking baths Lahna now stares at the AXE bodywash for so long she's either reading the  label, which I'm doubting considering she also just discovered that she has feet and now pants like a dog while trying to stick them in her mouth - doesnt quite say Einsteine or AXE really does work like the commercials says and instead of just attracting adult women it also has the power to attract baby girls...quite illegal!
