Best. Friends. Forever

We lost Mr. Bear for a whole week and Lahna was out of sorts.  After we lost him we were reading a book with a teddy bear in it (my mistake!) and she pointed at the bear looked up at me and shrugged her shoulders like, where is Mr. Bear?  She then hopped off the couch and walked into her room.  I followed her to see what she would do.  She looked under her bed, behind the chair, and in her closet.  She lifted up her blanket and when she couldn't find him she looked at me like fix this mom! It broke my heart.  Tara made lost signs for Mr. Bear which I posted at the YMCA.  After a week of not sleeping through the night I figured I would have to go buy a new one for her.  Then I got a call from the Y saying someone had seen the sign and turned him in!  Lahna was ecstatic to see Mr. Bear again.  He may only be a teddy bear to the rest of us but to Lahna he's the world!

BFFs!

Kisses from Mr. Bear

Don't you just love Aunt Katie in some of these!

Easter!

For Easter we dyed eggs, had an Easter egg hunt, ate candy, got dressed up, had an amazing dinner, and hung out with family.  Those things were all fun but the most exciting thing about Easter is the fact that we are a resurrected people...our God is Alive!!!  Check out Andy Cherry's song Our Gods Alive  not just an Easter song but something to remember every day ( :

Dyeing Easter eggs on Friday night at Grandmas.

This is what I call team work...

Ryan gets the egg, and drops it on the floor where...

Jackson just happens to be sitting (and waiting)

to eat the egg!

Ryan

So cool he just had to touch it!
I told Lahna to look up at the camera...she looked up a little too far!

Luckily I'm such a good parent I wouldn't let her drink the dye even though she wanted to.

All of the beautiful Easter eggs.

Easter Sunday we all dressed up and went to church.  This year instead of going to Grandma Lila's house (with all of the babies we are starting to grow out of the house!) we stayed at the church and had our Easter egg hunt and lunch.
Her pretty new dress.

What a good picture ( :

Lahna loved the Easter egg hunt.  We hid eggs all over the apartment and she was so excited about it.  We also had an egg hunt after we ate lunch.  She couldn't care less what was in them she just loved finding them.    I now know if I ever need to keep her entertained all I have to do is hide Easter eggs and make her search for them!
Easter egg hunt...

Opps...

Nothing says celebration like cake!

On Friday we celebrated Bryce graduation from the Police Academy.  It was perfect!  We are so thankful for all of our family and friends who have always been there to support us.  We love you all.  Lahna has been so excited to have Daddy around the house more, I can hardly pry her out of his arms (which I of course have to do when she needs her diaper changed...)  After the ceremony we went to Legends where we had lunch, cake and just spent time hanging out and talking.
Love.
The boys are so excited for their Uncle Bryce ( :

Jamie and I spent some time making Bryce a cake, because nothing says celebration like cake!  Lahna was pretty excited when she knew there would be cake at the party ( :

Strawberry cake (Bryce's request) with
white chocolate cool whip filling and vanilla buttercream frosting.

Jackson and Ryan patiently waiting for their cake.

Yum!

Quite the sugar high.

Okay so I know you love my witty repartee, but I'm going to gush.  No worries it won't be long.  I am so proud of Bryce.  He has such a heart for God.  I can honestly say (even though I'm biased) he is one of the most honest, loving, and loyal people I know.  I'm so excited to start this part of our lives together.  I know with the support he will get from all of the people who love him he will succeed as a great police officer.

April sunshine

We love the nice weather and are so happy we can play outside all day.  If I let her, Lahna would be outside from the time she woke up in the morning until she went to bed at night.  She is at such a curious age and is constantly exploring the world around her.  She seems to learn something new each and everyday.  She now understands everything I say and continues to test the boundaries!  Life with Lahna is never dull.
Cheesin' in my stunner shades ( :

Wanting to play with the camera....
And not very happy when I won't let her.

In this video Lahna makes animal noises.
Most of them sound pretty similar except when she barks like a dog.
I think it's pretty exceptional!

Lahna has also learned her body parts.  When you ask her to point to her ear she likes to say "Ahhhh"  because Bryce would make the same sounds when she tugged on his ears.  She also likes to pull on Mr. Bear's ears and make him say "Ahhh" too.  It's pretty cute, I just hope she doesn't start pulling on other kids' ears.  She just learned eyebrows (she likes to pet my eyebrows: a little weird), cheeks, and bellybutton ( :
