Update

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone. With Lahna I counted every week and read all about what was happening.  This time around was a little different.  I found myself so preoccupied running around after my two year old that I sometimes even forgot I was pregnant.  So here we are already 35 weeks and this is the first "belly" picture I've taken.  Lahna is super excited and says she wants a sister just like Tinker Bell has in the movie she watches.  She loves to put her head on my belly and listen to the baby and when the baby moves she gets a little weirded out.  Just the other day she patted my belly and said "Come out baby, come out and play!"  Hopefully she will be just as excited when the baby is actually here and she has to share the attention.

I came home from coaching the other night to an "empty" apartment and a fort in the middle of the living room.  Lahna and Bryce were hiding from me which they thought was pretty funny!  These days Lahna loves to play hide and seek.  My favorite is when she is hiding and I'll ask "Is Lahna under the table?" and she'll answer me.  It's super cute!
The couch + the loveseat + Lahna's mattress  = one awesome fort!

Just hanging out in her fort.  She cried when we had to take it down so she could sleep on her mattress that night : (

At the beginnig of this month Henry graduated from the Air Force basic academy.  Two extra bars for honor grad and expert marksman. Also awarded Warrior Flight.  We are so proud of him!

Look how handsome he is!

Most of my family flew to Texas to see him.  We weren't able to go because I guess they don't advise women who are more than 32 weeks to travel anywhere 2 hours away from home and Texas is a little farther than that. Since we weren't able to be there we sent the following pictures and some chocolate chip cookies...

Lahna is growing like crazy.  She's in a pink phase right now.  She says I'm happy mommy (which melts my heart)  She won't sleep unless she has Mr. Bear (of course), her blanket from Grandma Lila, her Kiki blanket, Wolfie, Horsie, and Bumblebee.  It's like a crazy circus in her bed every night.  She is finally potty trained (except for diapers for bedtime and naptime, but I say it still counts).  She's started to play pretend.  She can count to 11 except she always misses number 6.  She likes to sing the alphabet song.  We go swimming at least once a week and she finally will put her head all the way under and "swim" to me.  She's a mommy's girl right now.  Sometimes when Bryce tries to give her a hug she'll look at him and say, "like mommy better."  I'm loving every minute of it because I know it won't last long and she'll change her mind.  If you can't tell I think she's pretty great (although she did bite me the other day which she has never done before and I was not too happy with her!)

Showing off her ponytail

Aunt Katie gave her fairy wings for Christmas since she's really into Tinker Bell.  Here she's trying to fly but keeps getting frustrated because she can't.

I'll try to get Christmas, sledding, and some random pictures posted before the baby comes!

The big 2!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday to the spunkiest little girl!  I can't believe how fast the past two years have gone and how amazing my daughter is.  She is so smart and loves to give hugs and kisses!  She amazes me everyday and am so blessed to have such a healthy little girl.  Thank you Lahna for being you!

For breakfast Daddy brought home doughnuts frosted in blue with big snowflake sprinkles.  Only a 2 year old would appreciate such a doughnut and only a Daddy would give her all that sugar for breakfast, but since it was her birthday I figured it was okay!

Showing off her doughnut
After breakfast we went to Grandma's house and played until she got home.  Then we went to McDonalds for Lahna's first ever Happy Meal, which we took to the park since it was a beautiful day!  That night after opening presents with Mom and Dad Aunt Tara took Lahna swimming at the Y.  I'd say it was a pretty good day, and I know Lahna would agree!

Being a Ham!

Look how happy Lahna is, and how unhappy the cat is!

Eating her Happy Meal at the park!
Showing off the cool toy she got.
It's amazing how much you can love another human being.

We love Lahna so much we smothered her with kisses.. I'm not sure she enjoyed them!

Showing off the movie we got her.  She was excited because there's a horse in it!
On Friday we had a little birthday party for her which was tons of fun.  We had pizza, cookies, cake, balloons, presents, and streamers.  Everything a party needs!  The kids were all wired on sugar and spent the night running around like crazy!
Aunt Jamie decorated with streamers and Aunt Tara made the birthday sign for Lahna.
I made a delicious chocolate and Oreo cake with white chocolate cool whip frosting!

And of course I made horse cookies for Lahna!

Opening presents with her cousins!
If you saw the recent Video Blog you saw her reading this book we found at the library.  Aunt Jamie even sewed a polka-dot blankie to go along with the book that Lahna now loves to tie around her neck and run around shouting Super Kiki!

Look at that smile!
And another great smile...

Uncle Hank is away at Basic training (for the Airforce) in Texas.  He sent a box filled with stuff he bought for everyone ( : The kids all got bibs!

Lahna blowing out her birthday candles!  Everyone is telling her to wait in the beginning of the video because the first time the minute the candle was lit she couldn't contain her excitement and blew it out right away!
If you notice she also can't hold up two fingers on the same hand (like the peace sign) so we figured out another way which looks like she's saying she's 11 but I think people will get it!

Doing flips on her birthday in Grandma's room!

After all the excitement and sugar wore off Lahna was so
tired she cuddled in bed with us that night and slept in late the next morning!

Omaha

The weekend before Halloween we took a trip to Omaha.  We went shopping for Alyssa's wedding dress which she found super fast (the second dress she tried on!)  She looked beautiful and it was so fun to see how big her smile was when she had the dress on!  Lahna swam in the hot tub and decided to jump out, hence the large bump on her head in the following pictures, but she was a trooper and it didn't seem to bother her at all.  We watched football and ate soup and apple crisp, the perfect fall combination and then topped it all off by going to the zoo.  I'd say it was a pretty successful trip!

Lahna helped Granmda make apple crisp and then decided it was much more fun to play with the oatmeal and roll around in it on the floor!

This is how it all started.

and this is what happened!

Lahna loves her Aunt Alyssa
While we were there Derek and Wes helped fix our car!  Lahna decided she also needed to help.  I love how she's still in her pajamas while "working" on the car.
Uncle Derek giving Lahna instructions
We started carving pumpkins with Lahna but she just wasn't into this year.  She didn't even want to play in the goop like last year. So while she was napping I got to carve my own pumpkin.  It was quite dangerous and I stabbed my hand a few times but it turned out pretty cool.

Using a paint scraper
Alyssa decided to use the power drill on her pumpkin.

Jacob was more traditional and just used a knife.
Thanks for the idea Pinterest!

That night we went to the Henry Doorly Zoo for their Halloween trick or treating.

Happy girl with Daddy

The cutest bumblebee ever!
We spent a lot of time in the aquarium.  Lahna loved the fish and was so excited to see Nemo and the sea turtles.

Fascinated by the sharks

She wouldn't smile because she refused to take the sucker out of her mouth!
