Summer #2

More pictures from the summer.

Picking strawberries in Mimi's backyard.
When we moved into our house it was February so it was a fun surprise to find raspberries bushes in our backyard. We had raspberries all summer and fall. Lahna loved to eat them right off the bushes. I'm not a huge fan of raspberries but they're pretty amazing right from your own backyard.

Bowen is such a smiley boy.

Ice cream cones on Sundays at Mimis

Picnic at the wading pool

Playing at the beach!

Look at that smile ( :

No matter how hard I tried I could not keep him from eating
sand at least once every time we were at the beach.

Having fun with Mimi

Lahna helped me make our turtle family!

Cousin love!

Bowen and Bryce just hanging out together in the boat.

Now that we have a house we get to do things like go outside and eat dinner in the yard. Lahna loved when we took a blanket outside and had dinner picnics. We also have a sandbox where Lahna spent lots of time playing. She always wanted Bowen to come play with her but he ended up just eating the sand so it never lasted very long!

Here are a few videos from the summer...

Bowen 4 months

Bowen is 4 months!
He loves tummy time and can roll over.
His favorite thing is grabbing his sister's hair and pulling as hard as possible.
Bowen is still waking up every 2 hours at night : ( even after eating lots of rice cereal.
At his appointment he was 15.8 lbs (90%) and 25" (50%)

Summertime

We love summer!
Our summer was filled with some of the best things...
shorts, tanktops, bare feet, grilling, swimming, corn on the cob, fireflies, picnics,
sand castles, watermelon, swinging, camping, boat rides, and smores.

Lahna decided to eat dinner in her underwear while wearing goggles.Bowen thought it was an interesting choice for the dinner table and couldn't stop staring at her.

My sweet kids eating watermelon on the kitchen counter.

Sometimes I'm overwhelmed with the blessings God has given me.

There's nothing like taking a bath in the sink on a hot summer day.

Lahna found a dinosaur costume she just had to try on.

4th of July!
There's nothing like going to the parade and then spending the day
sitting by the pool with your family and friends!

Papa brought Lahna a backpack filled with fireworks. I doubt it was made for a 2 year old but she was excited. She was so proud of it she wore it all day. She loved setting off the fireworks with Daddy and Papa.

Showing off her backpack.

Lahna loves her Papa.

Ryan and Jackson at the parade.

An icee in one hand and a dum-dum in the other!

Bowen got bored after awhile and decided to tell the parade what he thought...not nice Bowen!

We had cake for Jamie's 30th birthday!

The boys helped Jamie blow out her candles.
This summer we spent a lot of time at the beach. It's not the ocean but the kids loved playing in the sand.
