4th of July!

On July 3rd we walked to a friends house and hung out for awhile before walking to the carnival.  Lahna insisted on wearing her backpack!  She was entranced by all the noise and lights of the carnival, but I think her favorite part was the ice cream we all shared!

Bryce had to work but I was able to put Lahna down to bed at Aunt Vicki's house (Thank you!) and go hang out with people my own age ( :


On the 4th of July we went to the parade, and it was hot!  We even stayed to the end, although I have no idea why.  We all had red faces and were dripping sweat. Lahna loved it and she raked in an amazing amount of candy which Bryce and I are still enjoying(wooohoo!)

Even with all the sugar she was tired by the end.

Right after the parade we went swimming at Vicki's pool with the family (we missed having Grandpa, Alyssa, and Derek around though).  Then we headed over to my mom's for more swimming and more food!  We finished the day off with fireworks from my mom's deck.  No daddy this year since he had to work but Lahna loved the fireworks as long as my hands were over her ears.  She can be such a bulldozer but some things she is so "delicate" about.
