September

I'm amazed at how much Lahna has learned over the past few months.  She can now count to 3 and repeats the letters of the alphabet when I say them.  She is one amazing girl!

Lahna likes to help me make cookies.  Of course she only likes to lick the bowl and make a mess but it's always fun to have a side-kick in the kitchen.

Good stuff.
On a rainy day we went swimming at the Y and then stopped at the grocery store to pick up supplies to make our own pizza.  Lahna loves pizza and had just as much fun making it as she did eating it.  The only think I wouldn't let her help with was putting the cheese on the pizza because she would grab a handful of cheese from the bag and instantly stick it in her mouth.

Eating the cheese off the top.

We spent most of September at the park.  Lahna is dangerously brave when it comes to what she thinks she can do, which is everything.  She even taught some little boy to go down the slide head first until his mom came over and scolded him.
Lahna and Jackson

They loved the lion at the park and all three of them had to give him kisses before we could go home.

Lahna found a new favorite toy.  We told her we were going to send her to Aunt Katie in New York so she tried to shut the lid but it didn't quite work.

One chilly afternoon I put Lahna down for a nap after reading quite a few books.  We had been to the park earlier that day and she seemed really tired or maybe I was just really tired!  I went to lay down on the couch and after about 20 minutes I woke up to one of Lahna's books that makes sound.  When I went in her room this is how I found her.  She some how had emptied her entire basket of books into her crib and was just hanging out reading.

Bryce worked every weekend in September, which was definitely a bummer.  Lahna and I spent lots cuddle and craft time together!  She helped me make a fall wreathe.  When I went to Michaels they had wreathes for sale there from $30-$50.  I made mine, which I think is pretty fantastic for $10!  We also got out the finger paints to make a fall tree.

We also did lots of snuggling while watching Bolt, Ice Age, or Finding Nemo.  We had ice cream and popcorn with marshmallows for our movie snacks!

Trying to watch the movie and smile for the camera at the same time ( :

Lahna then thought it would be fun to take a few pictures of bear...
she took 20 pictures and they all looked exactly likes this!

And for your amusement...(please don't judge my singing "talent")
